| Meyer's Pine Crest Resort 1945-1971
Located on beautiful 7 Mile Lake in Forest County just east of Eagle River.
One of the most successful resorts of its era due to the personalities of the owners, and their knack for making people feel comfortable.
Ralph and Grace Meyer were tireless in their efforts to make their resort a fun and family friendly vacation spot. They were always looking for ways to serve their customers needs better and anticipate what patrons would desire in a resort vacation getaway. The store and the recreation room, having sand trucked in yearly, raking the beach every morning, delivering newspapers to each cottage that requested one, emptying the trash cans several times a week, clean cottages, television in each cottage, boat and motor rentals, the weekly 'Beach Parties" were perfect ice breakers, taking people to lakes in the area to catch fish at the latest fishing hot spot. They attempted and I think succeeded in providing what people wanted.
Enjoy this website. I trust it will bring back many pleasant memories of your time spent vacationing there. I would like to hear from you for ways to improve it and make it more personal. Use the link below.

Add this site to your favorites and check back often. I am adding things every week. YES the resort is still operating and going strong under the ownership of the Otterstatter family. Grace was very pleased to have sold Pine Crest to another family that was committed to providing memorable vacations for families. One of my last conversations with Grandma she told me she was so happy that she chose to sell to the Otterstatters and that they have continued the tradition of a family oriented resort.
